Advertising in social networks = 5% of the Internet and 50% for the U.S.
Advertising in social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc..) continues its inexorable rise in volume: normal, it only plays where are brought the eyes of its prospective (prey ?...).
Indeed, for the year 2008, total advertising investments in social networks was around $ 1.1 billion, 20% for Facebook .
For 2010, all indicators are green: the annual projection stands at 3.3 billion dollars according to eMarketer. .
In this growth, Facebook has more than doubled its market share in the U.S. to now represent 50% of the total cake
One understands why his (future) value market has rebounded ....
And to clarify the ideas, the latest figures ZenithOptimedia can put this in perspective: $ 3.3 billion is about 5% of global online advertising planned for this year to 61 billion .
In passing, we note that the "roadmap" previously announced for 2012 Optimedia will already achieved this year: the Internet is the world's third advertising medium after television and press daily.
